Dear Residents,
It has been more than a month now since I shared what’s happening in our colony.
Some independent and questionable decisions have been taken by the president Mr. Mukat Behari of the Lok Sewak society -

2)      Tennis Court management changed by President Illegally - After follow up, it is likely to be discussed in the next managing committee meeting


4)      Mockery being made by President of MC meeting dated 24thFeb13 -  ( Chief Guest like Mr. Giri Khanna was invited though he has been debarred by the returning officer appointed by the Registrar of cooperative societies )

Following are some of the social activities in colony.

President Mr Mukat along with Mr Giri Khanna signed the High Court rejoinder on 22nd Mar’13 illegally without informing the managing committee members



President Mr Mukat Behari & the managing committed formed the sub committee comprising of me & other members to understand the ongoing High Court case & meet the lawyer. I had submitted my findings & gave my letter to Mr Mukat Behari on 22nd Mar’13 and requested to have an urgent managing committee meeting on 24th Mar’13.  But just after receiving my letter and without understanding the high court case, he takes the decision by himself along with Mr. Giri Khanna to sign the court rejoinder in urgency and that too without informing me & the sub committee members. I had opposed the present rejoinder made by lawyer because it only further drags the case and not helps in closing it.  I am totally surprised as to why the President is mis-using his position since no power has been delegated to him by the managing committee.
Background of High Court case:
Lok Sewak Society has an ongoing case against the misuse of opening the corporate office in Local Convenience Center located in front of C4 to C6 plots Geetanjali Enclave . Society has hired the advocate Mr Agarwal who lives in plot C-7 Geetanjali Enclave and Society had paid  apprx. Rs 2 lakhs so far for all his fees & hearings.
After studying the High Court judgments online and the Master Plan of Delhi 2021, I could conclude that this case can go in our  favour in case we all think jointly on the below mentioned facts.
Following are the important facts:
1) Use of “Offices” in Convenience Shopping Center can be permitted but it has to comply with the definition as given in the Table 5.5 of Master Plan 2021 (Gazette of India: Page 30, 32 & 37 ). Since this Corporate “Office” is NOT catering to the day to day needs of local population of up to 5000 residents living in Geetanjali Enclave & nearby colonies , this Corporate office of 3000Sqft which has turnover of  1250 Crores CANNOT BE allowed to function from Convenience Shopping Center inside Geetanjali Enclave

2)  As per Master Plan 2021 this Corporate Office should function from Local Shopping Center or Community Center which are less than 1Km from our Geetanjali Enclave

Illegal contract change of Tennis Court management by President


Tennis Courts management has been illegally & arbitrarily changed & given to coach Sh. Vijay by the President Sh. Mukat Behari without consulting the Tennis sub-committee and the managing committee.

This came as a shock to me and is visible by new sign boards being put up in the tennis lawns w.e.f 01st March 2013. Some important questions come up -
  • What was the rush and the urgency of assigning a contract all by himself?
  • Why  President has NOT shared the contract copy within the managing committee members?
  • Why this sudden change, when the previous management of Team Tennis Pvt Ltd was operating for more than 6 yrs?
Note that Non Residents fees with coach of Rs 100 are very very less. For past many years the fees charged to non residents with coach was Rs 250/ or so.  Non residents entering into colony to use the court increases the parking problem and raises security concerns and they should pay premium to use the courts in our colony.  The most important question is that rates have now been revised without consulting the committee?
I am fully against it as it was never approved & discussed in our managing committee. Letter has been given to the President & hope this issues is  discussed in the next managing committee

Road Repair in front of Police Station Malviya Nagar & Metro Station

I  pushed dad to write an application to DDA for the badly damaged road that is used by many vehicles in front of Police Station Malviya Nagar & Metro exit towards our colony. He also met S.H.O Malviya Nagar Police station and Shri Yoganand Shastri on this issue.

Letter has been pushed forward inside DDA to Engineer Member. Let's see if anyone take some action

This road is really in pathetic condition for last many months. I was waiting that may be after rains, somebody will do the repairs but ....
