Golden moment in the history of Lok Sewak for Elections 2012

FIRST TIME in the history of the society ( since last 40yrs ) there have been sincere attempt for the getting the fair and democratic elections. In the past the members of the M.C were getting elected unanimously and NO OTHER member was coming forward to file their nominations.

For the elections 2012 we tried to contact as many members as possible. The majority members could NOT PARTICIPATE in the elections since they were DECLARED DEFAULTERS by the present managing committee for NOT PAYING the annual security charges for the colony started since 01^St April’12. We had already pointed out that all the residents & the members should pay the security charges. People were NOT paying due to several lapse on the part of M.C like NO Policy matter , No cooperation was sought from residents, NO members of the society was involved in the security committee and this was formed arbitrarily by present M.C

After pursuations & convincing members we were able to rope in 7 NEW members from our side and 3 NEW Members from present M.C. Total of  10 NEW MEMBERS filed their nominations.

Returning officer Sh Sharma is conducting the elections of the society. Overall around 20 Nominations were received. After scrunity RO found that the members of the present managing committee are NOT entitled to contest the elections since they have not got conducted the audits of the society for the past 3 yrs as per the timeframe given in the Delhi Cooperative Society ACT 2003.

Hence now only 10 members are valid nominations against the 13 posts. Final results will be announced on  9^th Dec’12 by the RO.

On the day of withdrawal i.e. 01-12-2012, one candidate Smt. Latika Dutt withdrew from the contest by submitting a withdrawal letter dated 01-12-2012. The final list of contesting candidates after withdrawal is as under:
