Key positions of President and Secretary Vacant

Since last 1 year Lok Sewak Society has NO President and NO Secretary nominated ? Don't understand what's stopping them to conduct elections and fill the posts asap

Special task force for welfare, security

We have now the list of people who would be taking care of welfare and security of the colony. Excellent step. We have seen very good events like cricket match etc being organized in the past.

1) But Still don’t see any contribution by majority of 16 Managing committee members . Why they want to held on to their posts ? President post is still vacant ? Who is Secretary ?

2) There are so many open items like

a. Society stopped Security guards but now again you can see few of them at entrance. They wanted to threaten people but it didn’t work.

b. New telephone Directory. They took inputs and mail addresses this time. I hope they communicate their monthly meeting minutes to our mail addresses in future.

I hope they just don’t ask proposals from this task force every time and then take decision in their MC. We have experience this in the past. Too difficult to deal with close minded people.

Group Activities

The colony has some group activities going on. Let me know if you want to add more information or want more information.

1. Martial arts classes for children,
2. Tennis coaching.
3. Temple celebrations - We have a very beautiful and peaceful temple with many activities happening at regular intervals. 

Society rejoicing at glaring mistakes in the Award by arbitrator Sh U.R.KAPOOR

1) Schedule II of Delhi Cooperative Societies Rules 2007 lays down:

i) The committee shall meet at least 60 days in advance of its expiry of term and determine the time for convening a GENERAL BODY MEETING FOR CONDUCT OF ELECTIONS OF THE NEXT MANAGING COMMITTEE.

Last election in society was on 06.12.2006 and MC met on 20.09.2009 and decided to hold election on 15.11.2009

Whereas A.G.M was held on 17.1.2010.

As per the rule stated above the A.G.M should have been held prior to Elections and NOT AFTER THAT. This clearly proves the judgement issued is not as per law

2) Appointment of R.O

It is established law,” Justice should not only be done in any matter BUT it should also APPEAR to have been done “. In case wife of any Returning office is contesting the elections , the R.O cannot APPEAR to have done justice to the election process.

3) Defaulter list displayed at notice board and due notice sent to defaulting members

The arbitrator has accepted that list was displayed 30 days before the election date without even seeing the defaulters list which is WITHOUT any dispatch number in the dispatch register of society office. Thus the pasting of Defaulter list on notice board cannot be taken on records.

The arbitrator has stated that there is NO PROVISION OF INFORMING DEAFAULTERS INDIVIDUALLY FOR ELECTION PURPOSES. In this regard Section 25 of DCS ACT 2003 has stated that defaulter member shall be who has NOT paid annual subscription as provided in the bye-laws of the society. The arbitrator has completely ignored that the annual subscription for security has not been included in the bye-laws of the society. Thus society is NOT LEGALLY EMPOWERED to take the security charges. However in good gesture people should contribute towards security charges.

The arbitrator has also NOT bothered to read that section 25 states that “ DUE NOTICE FOR PAYMENTS SHALL BE SERVED ON THE DEFAULTING MEMBER” . It has NO relation with the conduct of elections.

The Defaulters has to be informed at the moment he/she is declared DEFAULTER.

Society invitation for "Generation Next"

This is what we have been asking from day one. Still this invitation is extended to those who are only members in the society. We know already that out of apprx 124 members, only 40 or so members are active.

Why not they circulate some procedure/steps to enroll more members ? There are families staying in the colony for more than 10yrs and are NOT members.

Becoming a member itself to this society is a privilege

Lok Sewak Society failed Security

Finally our very old Lok Sewak Managing Committee admitted failure that they cannot provide security in the colony. They had invited a general body meeting and only 6 out of 16 Managing committee members attended. Why all 16 MC members cannot attend ?

Now in whole Geetanjali Enclave only 5 residents were present out of 400+ families

Lok Sewak is a cooperative society and it shows that there is NO COOPERATION from any residents and 124 members ( only 20-30 active members ) in the colony.

On the moral grounds our dear MC should resign.
